How do I get access to Glacier National Park?
All visitors must have a Park Entrance Pass to enter any area of Glacier National Park. A Standard Entrance pass will cost between $20 and $35 depending on your mode of transportation. Annual park passes are $70 and Interagency passes for all national parks as well as Senior passes are also available. Entrance passes can be purchased online or upon entering Glacier National Park.

Experience Glacier National Park fee-fee! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to US citizens and residents (other fees, including timed entry or reservation fees, may apply). Mark your calendar for these entrance fee-free dates:
Does my Entrance Pass give me access to every area of Glacier?
Yes! The National Park Service announced that vehicle reservations are NOT required to access Glacier National Park in 2026.
Is Going-to-the-Sun Road always open?
The alpine section of the Going-to-the-Sun Road typically opens in late June or early July, weather permitting. Check the park website for CURRENT CONDITIONS or sign up for TEXT ALERTS for updates.
If I don't want to park, are shuttles available?
Yes, Going-to-the-Sun Road shuttles provide transportation to Logan Pass for visitors seeking longer experiences in the alpine area of Going-to-the-Sun Road. Riders need to purchase a Shuttle Pass in advance at recreation.gov. Passes are available online or by calling 877.444.6777, sixty days in advance (starting May 2) and one day in advance (starting June 30) at a cost of $1 per person. Shuttles will not pick up passengers who do not have shuttle tickets.
This season, once the road opens to vehicle traffic, parking at Logan Pass will be limited to 3 hours. Those planning to hike Highline Trail will need to take a shuttle.
Going-to-the-Sun Road shuttle service will provide access to Logan Pass from both the west and east sides of Going-to-the-Sun Road.
West side routes will provide express service to Logan Pass, departing from Apgar Visitor Center and Lake McDonald Lodge and servicing stops at the Loop (in the afternoon) and Logan Pass only.
East side routes will provide express service to Logan Pass, departing from St. Mary Visitor Center and Rising Sun.
Shuttle riders will be able to transfer between routes at Logan Pass. More information on shuttle routes, boarding times, and stop locations will be available online as we near the 2026 season.
