Glacier National Park

The scenic wonder of Glacier National Park is located just 25 miles from Whitefish. Designated the world's first "International Peace Park" along with Canada's Waterton National Park in 1932, Glacier's popularity has gradually risen over the years. Travel the famed Going-to-the-Sun Road, a historic landmark, by car, free seasonal shuttle, or on a Red Bus Tour.

The Whitefish Trail

This growing trail system currently offers 42 miles of natural-surface trail accessed by 12 trailheads and provides a great variety of easy-to-locate and navigate recreation opportunities on public and private lands that will ultimately create a 55+ mile recreational loop surrounding Whitefish. Whitefish Lake Golf Club

Whitefish Lake Golf Course complex is located adjacent to Whitefish and Lost Coon Lakes with fabulous mountain and lake views. It is the most requested golf destination in the state. The large bent grass greens on the North and South Courses are very receptive to a variety of shots and are framed by beautiful white sand bunkers. The fairways are lined by towering pine and birch trees. Golf Digest has rated both courses in the top five for all courses in Montana.

Whitefish Lake

Whitefish Lake is significant asset to the community of Whitefish, providing year-round recreational opportunities to locals and visitors alike. Warm season activities include fishing, swimming, exploring by paddlecraft, and motorized cruises and watersports, and when the lake freezes over each winter, it offers opportunities for cross-country skiiing, ice fishing, dog walking, and snowmobiling. This 7-mile-long glacial lake is cherished by the Whitefish community for it's crystal clear water, scenic views, peaceful serenity, and noteworthery sunsets.
