Located behind the Viking Lodge, guests can enjoy a walk on the trail system during the summer and fall months and snowshoe during the winter. Wildlife, including bear, mountain lion, deer, elk, and moose have been sighted in this area along with a host of native birds.

Sometimes weather interferes with outdoor plans and books are finished before vacation ends. Pass the time with a family-friendly board game or a loaner book from our lodge library. Don't worry if you can't finish the book before you leave, trades are welcome!
Transportation to & from the airport (FCA) & Whitefish Amtrak Depot is provided based on availability for arrivals & departures scheduled between 7a & 10p. Advance reservations are required. Call 406.863.4000 or e-mail your travel details to [email protected] at least 3 days prior to travel. We recommend departing The Lodge at least 2 hours prior to scheduled flight departures. The Lodge is not responsible for any missed flights.
Shuttle service is offered to our downtown sister property, The Firebrand Hotel & Restaurant.
Shuttles leave the Lodge at the top of the hour every other hour between 8a and 4p and every hour between 4p and 11p. Return trips from The Firebrand depart on the tens.
The free community S.N.O.W. BUS offers seasonal transportation to and from Whitefish Mountain Resort and various stops around Whitefish.
Many of our guests need to be productive during their visit. To help with this, every lodge room and suite includes a functional desk space, and we provide wireless internet access resort-wide, two business centers with computers and printer, copying, faxing, and UPS shipping.
